Church History

On April 26, 1940, thirteen Christians who had migrated from South Carolina, believed in Jesus Christ and being led of the spirit, established the Carolina Missionary Baptist Church, believing that, "where two or three are gathered together in my name, there I am in the midst of them." Since being organized, CMBC has had five pastors. Anthony E. Moore became the fifth pastor of our ministry in March 1987. During his tenure, as Senior Pastor, Carolina Church has been blessed to add to the church daily those who seek the Lord.

CMBC is comprises of various ministries which seek to meet the needs of our congregation and the community. Our church is full of compassion towards all of God's people especially those dealing with AIDS and as such, the AIDS Ministry is very dear to the heart of our Pastor and People. As we continue the legacy of Carolina Church, let it be known that the heartbeat of our ministry echoes the sound of everyday people striving to make heaven our home. We thank God for our rich and colorful history and with great expectancy we press ever forward towards the mark for the prize.
